You need to hit five of the low-paying symbols for a small payout of 0.4 to 1x your stake. If you can match five of the higher paying symbols, you’ll get 2-5x your stake. The wild symbol is some drugs with a scorpion which will land on reels two to four and will substitute for any other symbol.

Base Game Features:
During the base game, there are a couple of randomly triggered modifiers that can occur. The first is called Supply Drop. Win Exchange

Landing three cartel spins in the base game, or using the win exchange will activate the cartel spins bonus round. This will take you to a different screen with a 10x10 grid. All four corners are occupied by cartel leaders.
On each spin, the rest of the spaces are blank or show planes, phones, or Mystery Territory Symbols. If you land one of these symbols next to a cartel leader, they lock in place and reset the cartel spins back to three. Each symbol also has its own action, as follows:
- Mystery Territory – reveals a bet multiplier value
- Phone Symbol – doubles all multiplier values in the territory or territories it is next to

Design & Theme
The game retains the same realistic cartoon style as the original NetEnt Narcos slot. The grid sits on a backdrop of a mansion in Mexico, complete with palm trees and bullet-ridden cars! During the cartel spins, the scene changes to police searchlights sweeping the sea. Guns and wads of cash are at the front of the screen. The symbols show characters from the Netflix TV series, plus images of skulls, a bottle of liquor with a smoking cigarette and other moody and slightly sinister motifs.
The sound is a mix of dramatic ‘theme tune’ music, sirens, the reels moving and sometimes gunshots.
Our Verdict
This is an attractive slot, similar in style to the original Narcos slot, but much better in many ways. Firstly, improving the win potential to 10,486x the stake has already taken Red Tiger’s version up a notch. The cartel spins are also fun. The bonus game takes a bit of getting used to but should appeal to fans of ‘hold and win’ slots. If the first Narcos slot was a bit of a brainless henchman, Narcos Mexico can be likened to a higher-ranking member of the cartel.
