How to Play Live Ultimate Texas Hold'em
Texas hold’em is a poker game that’s played with a single deck of cards. A single game consists of several stages, and you’re required to make a number of decisions which can affect the outcome of the game.
Learning how to play Live Ultimate Texas Hold’em shouldn’t be too hard, even though it might take a while to master it. This game pits you against the dealer, and the objective is for you to end up with a higher-ranking poker hand.
To start, you place an ante bet and a blind bet. Both of these bets are of equal value and are necessary for you to take part in the game. There’s also an optional side bet: the Trips Bonus Bet.
If you place the Trips Bonus Bet, you’ll receive a payout for forming a three of a kind or better. This bet pays out regardless of the final outcome.
Once you’ve placed your bets, the first cards are dealt. You’ll be dealt two hole cards (cards only you can use), with the dealer also receiving two cards. Yours are dealt face-up, while the dealer’s cards are dealt face-down.
After the initial cards are dealt, the first round of three rounds of betting begins. You can either check (do nothing) or place a play bet worth three or four times your ante bet.
After that, it’s time for the first round of dealing, otherwise known as the flop. For this, three community cards are dealt for everyone to see. If you already placed a play bet, you do nothing; if you didn’t, you can place a play bet worth two times your ante bet.
After this, it’s on to the river, which has two more community cards dealt, for a total of five. If you’ve got a play bet placed, again you do nothing; if you still haven’t got one placed, you can make one, but it will need to be equal to your ante bet.
Should you choose not to place a play bet once all five community cards have been dealt, you lose both your ante and blind bets.
After all of the betting has been done, the dealer will reveal his or her cards. Both your hand and the dealer’s hand are compared to see which has the highest value according to standard poker hand rankings. The dealer’s hand must contain a pair or better in order to qualify.
If the dealer doesn’t qualify, there are several ways the game can pan out depending on whether you lose to, tie with, or win against the dealer.
Should your hand beat the dealer’s, both your blind and play bets will be paid according to the pay table. If your hand loses, your blind and play bets are lost. Should the game result in a tie, your blind and play bets are returned to you.
No matter what the outcome of the game is, if you’ve placed a play bet, your ante bet will be returned to you.
If the dealer does qualify, again there are several ways the game can proceed. Should you win, both your blind and play bets will be paid according to the pay table. If you lose, you lose all of your bets.
Finally, if it’s a tie, your ante, blind and play bets will all be returned to you.
